Tokyo shares rose on Monday as investors cheered the dollar's strength against the yen and gains on Wall Street. The benchmark Nikkei 225 index rose 1.26 percent, or 412.99 points, to 33,172.22, while the broader Topix index added 1.39 percent, or 31.95 points, to 2,322.56.
